Because contributing positively to the social and environmental well-being of our planet and our local communities is one of our commitments and a reason of pride for our founder and CEO William E. Heinecke, every year in June (his birthday month) we celebrate Minor Founder’s Day with a week dedicated to carrying out several Social Responsibility actions all over the world.
This year, in Portugal, there were 156 volunteers, in Europe around 780 volunteers, who joined various initiatives, donated their time and made a difference in the lives of several families, children, elderly people and contributed to a cleaner planet.

OUR ACTIONS IN PORTUGAL
• We supported the Charity Institution NECI – Núcleo Especializado para o Cidadão Incluso by promoting a trip to the beach for users with reduced mobility.
• We held a Solidarity Festival to raise funds for the Casa de Santo Antônio 2025.
• We prepared and offered dinner and various activities for the children of Casa do Regaço, a children’s shelter.
• We painted and donated goods to the Campanhã Youth Center.
• We promoted a clean-up campaign in the Ria de Alvor, as part of World Environment Day.
• We provided a different day for a group of elderly users of Casal Popular da Damaia, with a special lunch at the NH Sintra Centro and a visit to the Queluz Palace.
• We promoted a Blood Donation campaign with the support of the Associação de Doação de Sangue do Algarve, to benefit the community.
• We collected, prepared Lunch Boxes and donated food to volunteers from the APPIA – Associação Pró-Partilha e Inserção do Algarve and Banco Alimentar Contra a Fome, in Algarve.
• We promoted a different day for the children of the Catraia and Casa das Raparigas do Algarve institutions, with several environmental activities, health and well-being promotion and local culture promotion.
• We held a Summer Bazaar promoting the donation and exchange of clothes and toys among our teams, promoting the circular economy
